Everyday at work, forgive my hiatus

I’m back working as a canvasser with For Nevada’s Future and it has been great work to do again. Instead of political campaigning for Hillary Clinton and Catherine Cortez-Masto for senate in Washoe County, which was successful in Nevada and I’m very proud to have done the groundwork and to have talked to thousands of voters and being able to connect with real issues to families, It’s now a matter of canvassing against school vouchers in some districts of the county.  This issue is important and I try everyday while knocking on my doors to make sure people understand that this bill is going to hurt schools and low income, working class families the most and benefiting the wealthy at their children’s expense. I’ve been getting mixed views, I lost someone when I mentioned I didn’t go to school here and that I’m from San Diego, which hurt me because I’ve been in Reno for a year now and have been working hard on this canvassing journey. I fear that this bill will pass and that the states will follow.

My other job is Dairy Queen and they basically pay me like $30 and ice cream everyday but I like it for now.

I have to work and study by myself for now, I’m earning money again which means I’ll be able to cover my small credit debts and work on going to school. A lot of work to be done !
